Friends of the River Almond Walkway (FRAW) was formed in 2012 and became a Scottish registered charity in 2014. We work to help maintain the pathway along the River Almond in north west Edinburgh. (Scottish Registered Charity No SC045077).Our aims are to improve, promote and enhance the heritage and natural environment of this popular, historic and scenic route along the River Almond, for the benefit of local residents and visitors.
The group works alongside the City of Edinburgh Council Forestry and Natural Heritage Service and arranges regular conservation work parties along the Walkway and supports several long term projects. FRAW also works closely with other local bodies such as the Cramond Association, Cramond Heritage Trust and Cramond & Barnton Community Council on work benefitting the local area.
